President Pork
Posted on 02.10.09 by Danny Glover @ 2:26 pm

Barack Obama has been all over the map on the issue of pork-barrel spending in the stimulus bill he is trying to push through Congress.

First he vowed to keep all pork out of the legislation; then he scoffed at the notion that it’s possible to ban earmarks for pet projects in such a monster package; and then he insisted, in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary, that there isn’t any pork in the bill (hat tip to Instapundit).

Now we have this blatant contradiction:

President Barack Obama had it both ways Monday when he promoted his stimulus plan in Indiana. He bragged about getting Congress to produce a package with no pork, yet boasted it will do good things for a Hoosier highway and a downtown overpass, just the kind of local projects lawmakers lard into big spending bills.

Just call him President Pork.
