My wife is a big fan of “The Biggest Loser,” a reality show that features morbidly obese contestants who live on a ranch for months and compete to see who can lose the most weight. I’m a big fan of country music. Now those two worlds have merged. Recent contestant Dan Evans stretched his 15 minutes of fame from “The Biggest Loser” into a budding musical career. I never like Dan as a contestant, but his music doesn’t sound half bad. Incidentally, I’m only moderately interested in “The Biggest Loser.” I typically get a lot of blogging done from my recliner while it’s on the television. I do enjoy seeing the contestants’ amazing transformations from start to finish of the show, and I love watching trainer Jillian Michaels browbeat the players on her infamous black team. But sadly, I can’t say the show has been all that inspiring to me. More often than not, I can’t resist the urge to snack while watching the contestants shed their pounds and develop will power. Ironically, “The Biggest Loser” has been one of the biggest explanations of my recent weight gain. Filed under: Food and People and Redneck Music and Sports and Video Comments:
