With moves like this, Barack Obama is angling for the shortest honeymoon ever of any new president. I suspect that Obama thinks he has the leverage to aggravate the press because they are so far in the tank for him, but journalists won’t tolerate “change” that affects them personally. The press team isn’t posting transcripts, audio or video of the daily press briefings to WhiteHouse.gov. How much more evidence of a closed White House will the Dan Froomkins and Jay Rosens of the liberal media world need before they realize Obama is just like any other president and worthy of the same skepticism shown toward George W. Bush? Liberal journalists who fancy themselves government watchdogs no matter who is in power need to prove it by taking an early stand against Obama’s “change” to Bush’s transparent ways.
